Course Details

The Technical / Installer of Solar Photovoltaic Systems Course lasts 27 months (3,200 hours), and has the following distribution of workloads::

  • 775H Sociocultural training;
  • 400H Scientific training;
  • 1.000H Technological training;
  • 1.100H Practical training in the enterprises.

Schedule, organize and perform the installation, maintenance and repair of solar photovoltaic systems, according to the rules, safety regulations and best applicable rules practices.

Access Conditions

The Learning courses are designed for young people who must meet cumulatively the following requirements:

  • Being younger than 25 years old;
  • 9th year of schooling without high school graduation.

Supports

The following support for trainees are eligible, the nature and limits are in accordance with the normative Order No. 4-A / 2008:

a) Professional training scholarship;
b) School supplies scholarship;
c) Meal allowance;
d) Expenses or transport allowance;
e) Reception Allowance;
f) Housing allowance and second meal allowance, allocated by way of exception, subjected to previous authorization.

Professional opportunities

The Learning courses allow to get a school and professional certification, favoring integration into the labor market in the areas of Energy and Industry, as Technician / Installer of Solar Photovoltaic Systems.

Academic / Equivalence (Dual System) opportunities

  • The successful completion of the training gives equivalence to the 12th year (Level 4);
  • Access to higher education through the normal regular access conditions required by the Ministry of Education.

Main Activities

  • Schedule and organize the work to be done.
  • Perform the installation of solar photovoltaic systems, ensuring the compliance of the standards, safety regulations and best applicable rules practices.
  • Perform the repair of solar photovoltaic systems, ensuring the compliance of the standards, safety regulations and best applicable rules practices.
  • Ensure the maintenance of solar photovoltaic systems, according to the defined maintenance plans and carry out tests after intervention in order to ensure its proper functioning.
  • Provide technical assistance to clients, advising on the different options and answering questions about the operation of solar photovoltaic systems.
  • Prepare reports and fill in technical documentation regarding the activity performed.
